PMI日本支部女性コミュニティ 第36回 定例会 (2025.11.4) レポート

朝晩が寒くなり、秋から冬への移行が感じられる11月4日に、第36回の定例会を開催しました。

今回のメインテーマ「PMBOK®の推しポイント、聞きたいポイント（第7版限定！）」では、7版になって強化または追加になった内容での推しポイントが出てきました。

各人の推しポイントや思いに濃淡はありつつも、「テーラリング」、「価値重視」、「スチュワードシップ」の3点が重複して上がってきました。6版でも「テーラリング」の記載はありましたが、判断基準がお客様や自社にとって「価値」があるが重要点となっていることが、7版としての推しポイントとなっているようです。立上げ時と終結時ではプロダクトに対する価値が変わる可能性もあり、価値ベースで柔軟にテーラリングする事が求められ、受託側だけでなく発注側も責任をもって判断していくことが重要との話になりました。

7版にて最も重要な「12の原理・原則」の一つとして位置づけられた「スチュワードシップ」について、互いに尊重しあい、責任感のある行動など人を大事にする考え方への共感がありました。ただ、日本人は褒めること、褒められることが苦手なので、そこの克服が必要との意見に、一同深く頷いておりました。

一部のメンバーより、7版では概念的な記載になり、プロジェクトへどう反映したらよいか迷っているとの意見もありました。それに対し、「ITTOは『プロセス群：実務ガイド』を参考にするとよい」や、「PMIJが実施している7版の詳細解説セミナーを受けると、深く理解できてよかった」とのアドバイスがありました。

次に、今回のお楽しみテーマは、「秋の夜長にお勧めの本」でした。

小説、伝記、自己啓発、写真集、漫画など、多種多様な本が紹介されました。その中でも以下の2点は、女性コミュニティらしい選出ではないでしょうか。

・シェリル・リンドバーグ​「LEAN IN」

・ヴァージニア・ウルフ「自分​ひとりの​部屋」

私は、荻原浩 著『砂の​王国』と「三体」​シリーズに興味を持ちました。どちらも長編なので、長期休暇のお供に良さそうです。

そして最後に、PMIの最新情報の連携がありました。近日中に英語版のPMBOK® 8版(※)がリリース予定とのことです。その後日本語版の提供もあるとのことで、来年が楽しみです！

On November 4th, as the mornings and evenings grew colder and the transition from autumn to winter became palpable, we held our 36th regular meeting.

This session's main theme, “PMBOK®'s My Favorite Picks and Points You Want to Ask About (7th Edition Only!),” highlighted the my favorite picks from the enhanced or newly added content in the 7th edition.

While each person's emphasis and thoughts varied, three points overlapped: “tailoring,” “value-driven,” and “stewardship.” Although “tailoring” was also mentioned in the 6th edition, the key point in the 7th edition seems to be that the criteria for judgment are based on what is valuable to the customer and the company itself. The value of a product may change between the start and end of a project, so flexible tailoring based on value is required. It was agreed that it is important for not only the contractor but also the client to make responsible judgments.

Regarding “Stewardship,” positioned as one of the most important “12 Principles” in the 7th edition, there was mutual sympathy for the idea of valuing people through mutual respect and responsible behavior. However, since Japanese people are not good at giving or receiving praise, everyone deeply agreed that overcoming this weakness is necessary.

Some members expressed uncertainty about how to apply the conceptual descriptions in the 7th edition to their projects. In response, advice included: “ITTO recommends referring to the ‘Process Group: Practical Guide’” and “Attending PMIJ's detailed explanation seminars on the 7th edition provided a deeper understanding and was beneficial.”

Next, this time's fun theme was “Books Recommended for Long Autumn Nights.”

A wide variety of books were introduced, including novels, biographies, self-help books, photo collections, and manga. Among them, the following two selections seem particularly fitting for a women's community.

・Cheryl Lindberg, “Lean In”

・Virginia Woolf, “A Room of One's Own”

I became interested in Hiro Ogihara's The Kingdom of Sand and the Three-Body series. Both are long reads, so they seem perfect companions for a long vacation.

Finally, there was an update on the latest PMI information. The English edition of the PMBOK® Guide 8th Edition is scheduled for release in the near future (※). A Japanese edition will follow afterward—We are looking forward to next year!
